2026 AMPRA Championships & Team Selection

• Team Selection (Single event) for the 2027 F3D & F3E Pylon World Champs (WC Dates and Venue TBC).
• Field is available for practice/set-up Thursday 4th & Friday 5th.
• Model processing/checks – The first four (F3D & F3E) and random weight checks through the event. Scales available Thurs & Fri.
• No practice flights on Saturday or Sunday morning including flights on the front field.
• There will be a briefing at 07.30 Saturday and 08.00 Sunday.
• Engine runs (ONLY) are permitted till 08.30 Sat & Sun – no engine runs during competition rounds.
• No flights on the front field while the competition is in progress.
• There will be a 15-minute turn around (break) between class changeover and 30 min lunch break at (or around) 12.00.
• No flying allowed in the breaks just engine runs.
• Racing Start – 9am both days.
  • Saturday – F3D & F3E, (4 rounds alternating – up to 12 rounds of each for Team Selection).
  • Sunday Morning – Complete remaining rounds of F3D & F3E if required.
  • Sunday – F3T & F3R(Q500), 8 Rounds (after completion of team selection rounds).
  • Monday – Reserve Day
• Entry Fees:
  • F3D & F3E – $50
  • F3T – $40
  • F3R – $20
• Camping (Hot Showers), Available at the field – $10 fee (per couple per night) paid to Club.
• Club Canteen – Breakfast & Lunch, Drinks, Tea and Coffee on sale, Saturday & Sunday.
• Complimentary welcome BBQ at the field Friday evening.
• Arrangements will be made for a group booking at the Pub for dinner Saturday evening.

Please note for F3R(Q500):

The F3R(Q500) class will be per the provisions of SC4_Vol_F3_Pylon_25, ANNEX 5W (F3R as a Multi-Formula Class) with the following provisions and will be flown on the long (F3D/T) course.

• Per 5W-1. – Accepted engines will be any un-modified commercially available (including previously commercially available) front induction side exhaust sport engine that has a standard muffler (i.e., zero boost) and Carby as supplied by the manufacturer with the engine and displacement up to .46ci. examples:
  • OS 46AX
  • Thunder Tiger 46Pro
  • Force 46ABC
  • SC 46A….. etc.
• Per 5W-3. – Fuel will be 15% Nitro and with Synthetic/Castor oil blend as used for F3T at the event.
• Per 5W-4. – Internal tube (tuned) mufflers are not allowed.
• Per 5W-4. – Accepted Propeller will be 9X7 APC only.

This is the F3R formula that has been running at the World Cup event in Qatar and at European events in the past few years with great success and, has also been incorporated into the World Cup event in July (Maryborough). You will note this is similar (Prop & Fuel difference) to the Q500 class / aircraft already flown in Aus.
